  I'm 167cm and 52kg, and due to broad shoulders and long arms, I generally need tops that are L or larger. I've been purchasing UNIQLO's undergarments in L every year, but I'm thinking M might be fine... Since they feel good to wear and I end up wearing them often, they naturally stretch out, and L might be too big. There are no sleeves, so I will try M next time.

  I generally buy L size for undershirts, but for UNIQLO's undergarments (including Heattech), I use M size. I'm 160cm tall, and the M size is long enough to cover above my butt, so I'm secure even when I bend down! The fabric is smooth and feels good against the skin, and it's seamless, so it doesn't itch.
