  They're durable and warm. My family wears these socks year-round.   I was looking for Heattech pile socks that don't constrict my ankles. I would like a version without elastic at the ankle. Regular socks are better than half socks; they should not be tight with elastic and should be longer. Since I wear them over my Heattech leggings, they don’t need to be too thick around the ankles. If the ankle part of the socks is thick, it overlaps with the leggings and makes me too hot and itchy.
