  I've been a fan since the ultra-light down was created and have purchased about ten pieces. In the past, they had substantial thickness and you could feel them getting thinner after repeated washes. The product this time feels thinner right from the start than items that have been washed ten times. Given the current tensions in the Middle East, some articles suggest UNIQLO down might be hard to find for under 10,000 yen next year; I thought of getting this for next winter, but it's unusable for winter! I'd be willing to spend 10,000 yen for them to make a thicker product like they did 10 years ago. This product feels like an outerwear item that's necessary for commuting in the morning at around 14°C. The sensation of cold varies by person, but I personally find it difficult even in the mornings during this season. Some people who get hot might be fine, but I believe it's tough for those who are sensitive to cold. The old ultra-light down was also quite popular and many people bought them in stores, so there must have been considerable demand for that thickness.

  I am 160 cm tall and weigh 52 kg with a skeletal wave body type, so I purchased a smaller size S. As the name suggests, the ultra-light down is light and cozy, making it perfect for wearing over lighter outfits like t-shirts this season. I like it, but personally, I'm concerned about the seams and down coming out, though my liking outweighs those issues. I've tried puff-tech, but this one is better; I'm satisfied.

  Since I have many darker clothes, I bought the white one for travel. The color of the clothes underneath shows through, making it look a bit dirty, so I was surprised to see how little down there is in it when I checked. Furthermore, fine down gets stuck to the clothes. It's been quite some time since I bought it, and it has a strong animal smell, which I don't know what to do about.

  I wanted to bring it on a trip, so it's great that it can be folded compactly. It's thin, but it's fine for the winter in Osaka. It seems they're switching to puff-tech, so if you want down, I recommend buying now.

  I purchased it after three years. I actually wanted one with a hood, but it never went on sale, so I reluctantly settled for this one. I'm not sure if it's because it's a stand collar or if there's a decline in quality, but it used to be light and warm even during heavy winter snow, and it didn't lose its shape after washing. This one feels cold because it has less down! I can’t wear it in winter! After washing, it became even thinner. I appreciate that recycled down helps reuse resources, but why is it shredded? I was surprised to find down coming out after the first wash. Shouldn't they be more careful with recycling the down? I'd be willing to pay a bit more for a version with a hood and increased down! In a snowy area where cars are common, thick down is difficult to wear while driving, and this hooded version was the best. Nowadays, they're making down from polyester cotton, but that doesn’t work well in snowy areas! There's nothing better than feathers!

  This is an excellent piece that really shines as a cardigan and as an inner layer for winter coats. It can be worn as outerwear, but I mostly treat it as an inner layer, so I bought a smaller size. A vest doesn't hinder my chores, making it the perfect loungewear, and I'd love to see a waist-shaping vest like this again.
