It's light and the fabric isn't too thick, but it protects me even on scorching hot days. The hood makes me feel secure around the head too! The size fits well.

I wear UV cut parkas almost daily from April to around October, and they fade due to UV exposure, so I buy about three new ones every year. In terms of UV cut rate, they're all pretty much the same, so I choose based on design and function. This one is men's, but since I can wear an oversized T-shirt underneath, I'd also recommend it for women. The zippers on both pockets are a small but great touch. It's very reassuring to keep my smartphone, car keys, parking tickets, and other essential items safe as they tend to fall out unexpectedly. I bought it because I thought the black and gray camouflage-like blurred pattern was stylish, but the black seems to have faded a bit, which is a minor downside.
