I found the cute one-point embroidery on the backside appealing and decided to buy it. The 73 waist was good, but it felt tight when squatting or putting something in the pockets, so I went with size 76 instead, making it feel a bit larger.

  First of all, I really like the silhouette. It's straight cut, so neither too wide nor too narrow, offers a modern relaxed feel without looking sloppy. It pairs well with a jacket like in the photo, as well as with t-shirts or sweatshirts. What I particularly like is the texture unique to selvedge denim. It has just the right firmness, which makes it feel different from regular soft jeans. Rolling up the hem to show off the selvedge changes the vibe, allowing for fun variations in wear. The jeans themselves are simple, but in collaboration with JW ANDERSON, they have a slightly more detailed appearance compared to regular Uniqlo jeans, which is pleasing. Personally, I recommend pairing them with slightly looser shirts or jackets rather than skinny tops. It's quite attractive that you can enjoy selvedge denim at Uniqlo prices. For those who dislike very wide trendy denim but also do not like ordinary skinny jeans, I think this is a just-right pair.

I preferred the color of the main body, the color of the stitching thread, and the logo on the old design, but there was no size available, so I tried the new design in-store and then ordered the old design online. I also have the men's regular fit which was a bit wider straight, so I went one size smaller. Even without stretch, it's comfortable to wear, and in the dead of winter, I can wear Heattech underneath, allowing me to enjoy denim all year round, so wide fits are convenient.
