  The waist size is written, so it's not a complaint, but it could be tighter. The range of adjustment is narrow. Slim people might not be able to tighten it enough, and it can't fit a belt. Also, the fabric feels weak, as it quickly develops pilling. I guess it's understandable given the low price, but it would be great if they could use stronger materials without raising the cost.

  I bought size M as recommended by the UNIQLO app and it fits well, but when I tried it on today, it felt a little tighter than I anticipated. I think size L might have been better. The fabric is a bit rustly, so I hope it will soften after washing or wearing. This is my fourth purchase of gear shorts, but the zipper pocket on the right side where I put my phone and wallet broke, so I decided to buy a new one. The zipper on this new pair is also not smooth, which is a bit frustrating. I wish they would improve the ease of zipper operation and durability. When I try to take my phone out, the zipper often catches on the fabric, which is stressful. After buying the new pair, I realized I could use the left pocket since the right zipper broke. The pattern is nice, so if they improve the zipper's ease of use and durability, it would be a great product. I think it's best to try on pants in-store before buying.

It can feel a bit clingy when sitting in the car. I will keep an eye on whether the fabric retains its firmness after washing. It runs slightly larger; I usually wear size L, but the M fits me perfectly.
